According to the Internet portal MacObserver, head of Apple, Steve Jobs on Wednesday arrived in Brussels to attend a meeting of the European Union. Her topic was the situation of music and technology companies in Europe and their work online.

The meeting discussed why the unification of Europe is not enough passes in the Internet space. The EU representative to the competition Neli Kroes (Neelie Kroes) said that perhaps it is because it is not transparent or outdated rules of competition in the online industry, and it is not executed until the end. In any case, said Kroes, users and producers are waiting for change for the better in this area.

The EC also warned that if the heads of major companies have not a single view on unification of Internet-based business, the EU will force them to do so. This issue directly relates to Apple, whose prices in the online music store iTunes Store differ for each of the EU. This is because music companies in these countries seek to cooperate with Apple, each on its own terms.
